Companies Nival Online and Gala Networks Europe today announced the signing of an agreement on publishing and operating the project Allodium Online in Europe.

Allods Online, known as "Russia's most promising MMO", is the MMO version of Allods, the first single player RPG game in Russia. Allods was released as early as in 1997 and has sold 1.2 million copies. Russian gamers have been waiting long for its MMO version.

This new free to play MMO plunges players into a deep storyline which takes place after the creation of the Allods, mystical islands floating in the Astral, an expansive living substance that makes up the game world. Players will explore these Allods gold as they battle against a wide range of enemies and other adventurers.

MMO players will be familiar with the game format which includes map exploration, social elements, questing, PvP and character development. Allods also features large scale battles with giant ships manned by several players. There are six races to choose from and eight classes, then players must pick a faction, the League or the Empire.

"We have spiced up a full-blown fantasy MMORPG with the most compelling elements of space opera and science fiction, with epic battles between huge Astral ships," said Sergey Orlovskiy, founder of Nival Online. "At the same time, we are keeping a deep focus on characters. Allods Online is not about Astral ships, but about the people on them."

Allods gold is being made for the English, French and German markets and is expected to available from the autumn of 2009 on the gPotato.eu Game Portal.
